某地产集团高层许德才（李梦男 饰）被迫出逃。与其有暧昧关系的女老板赵冰（孙宁 饰）要求他背黑锅，给他两个选择：一是逃跑，二是死。 许德才逃亡途中路遇昔日的朋友王小兵（潘斌龙 饰）借钱给女儿看病。随后王小兵被人殴打，导致许德才丢了箱子，他的证件和机票在箱中，于是两人开始寻找箱子。 就在两人寻箱历险中，遇上了地下“交通局长”黄峰，被“爹坑”万鹏，寻找公司的鲍总，不但箱子没找到，王小兵的车被扣，许德才的卡上钱也被骗走。许德才找赵冰求助，引来追杀，两人仓皇逃窜中许德才竟然发现王小兵其实与自己失散十年的女友杨珊（谢娜 饰）有联系，由此十余年的恩怨得以化解……。This movie is a modern day version of The Prince And The Pauper where one man from a poor background ends up taking over another man's life from the entirely opposite end of the spectrum.
