本作は、9歳で失明し、18歳で聴力を失った東京大学の教授でバリアフリー研究者・福島智（ふくしまさとし）と、母・令子の実話をもとにした物語。智の幼少期から大学受験までの姿が描かれる。。After Jason (9) is abandoned by his mother at a folk festival, he takes refuge in a forest cabin belonging to a mute loner. A series of circumstances eventually lead them to form a family - something both have lacked for a while.。
