雾山修一郎（小田切让 饰）是在时效管理课工作的警察。由于部门的工作十分清闲，让雾山他的同事们整日都无事可干。某一天，当大家都谈到自己的爱好时，发现自己没啥爱好的雾山决定要发展自己的一项爱好，于是他把目标盯住了时效档案。决定调查那些过了时效的案件，寻找出其中的凶手。在交通课工作的三日月静（麻生久美子 饰）因为暗恋着雾山，所以时不时串门到时效管理课，借机找机会和雾山接触。 雾山和三日月在一堆失了时效的案件中，揪出了一些谜点，与那些犯人周旋，然后展开了别样的推理故事。伴随着各种冷笑话，最脱力系的推理故事就此开始。。Answering Fire - In a suspected terrorist attack on a London hotel a government minister is killed.
