SYNOPSIS Urgently called, the police inspector has arrived in a hotel, and didn't find any crime, but noticed some strangenesses occurring there. He has decided to leave, but a snow avalanche is crushed in the mountains, making it impossible for him to leave. Soon, inspector has found a body of a dead lodger. (Strugatsky Brothers website) NOTES This is a crime / mystery thriller with surreal and psychedelic science fiction overtones based on a book Inspector Glebsky's Puzzle by the Strugatsky brothers. The screenplay was also written by the brothers and it differs from the book. The less you know about the movie the better starting point you have. The film is based largely on the mystery of what's happening to the people of Dead Mountaineer's Hotel. Is everything what it seems? Who's dead or who's not?。家驹（黄家驹 饰）、自强（黄家强 饰）、世荣（叶世荣 饰）以及贯中（黄贯中 饰）四个年青人自组乐队，醉心于音乐，但他们每个人都有自己的梦想。世荣深爱女友马莉（王菲 饰），但身为医学教授的未来岳父加能却不赞同他从事音乐，加能固执的令晕血的世荣进入医科学习；梦想成为警察的贯中因身体素质不过关，全靠诚意打动了警方考官，得以从不起眼的交通督导员做起；家驹一家希望移民美国开餐馆，为了这个目标，全家展开赚钱比赛，家驹身兼数职，一刻不得闲；初入职场的自强豪情万丈，自信能够凭借努力成为第一流的经纪人。四个年青人为了理想打拼，一路经历诸多坎坷欺骗，他们的梦想能否成真？。从水乡小镇来到省城发展的（朱媛媛 饰）和石向南（辛柏青 饰）是一对小冤家夫妻。妻子西凤为使丈夫向南出人头地，夫贵妻荣，煞费苦心设计了一系列改造向南的计划。向南坚持男人的独立人格和尊严，不愿按照西凤为自己设计的人生目标奋斗，执意要走一条自己决定自己命运的人生道路。为之，二人展开了一系列轻松风趣、啼笑皆非、控制与反控制、征服与反征服的龙凤斗。历经重重磨难、打击和挫折后，夫妻二人终于明白了一个道理：婚姻是要靠两个相爱的人互相包容互相尊重共同经营，幸福才会降临。。
