一帮匪徒探知寺内有宝物，以赈灾义演为噱头骗得方丈和众僧离寺演出，在下山途中东东阴错阳差发现了盗贼的阴谋，最后东东在小姑娘朋朋的帮助下，利用平时整蛊师兄们的小技术，设计种种关卡，让盗贼吃尽苦头。。本片根据华莱士·肖恩(WallaceShawn)的剧作改编而成。故事发生在24小时里，主人公是一对纽约的夫妇，妻子玛丽打算跟丈夫布鲁斯离婚，两人就此争吵不止。而争吵的内容主要就是翻旧账，提起婚姻中的种种往事，包含了爱情、憎恨、关心、承诺等等这些两性关系中的陈词滥调。。Charlie's getting married.
