电视台之间的竞争胜局已定，火星台两个受欢迎节目《巴太与李》和《开心字典》以百分之百的收视率击败地球台，火星台节目主持人兼老板巴太也气焰高涨，除了对自己属下员工苛刻之外，巴太更想吞并地球台。正所谓有人欢喜有人愁。地球台李老板竟要跳楼造新闻，增加收视，幸好女儿李小美及时赶到令李老板回心转意。这时巴太来电冷嘲热讽，李老板受不住刺激导致血管爆裂入院，他嘱咐女儿一定要让地球台摆脱困境。。一个令人不安的真人秀节目，一个血腥的热门游戏节目，让参赛者们为了观众的娱乐而自杀……。Deputy Assistant Commissioner Charlie Hillian is killed on the night of his retirement party.
