And a burned out street hustler with a sick mother and a...。故事发生在上世纪七十年代初期。上山下乡运动如火如荼，庄会生（史天庚 饰）因暗恋叶晓帆（王媛可 饰），偷改志愿，结果事与愿违，独自去了陕北，而叶晓帆、乔海洋（张译 饰）等人则分配到东北建设兵团。纨绔子弟段军对叶一见倾心，但叶只对海洋有好感。范学东（刘向京 饰）心胸狭窄，一次次给开朗乐观的海洋下套，但都被大嘴连长（程煜 饰）解围。刘北上（王桂峰 饰）与海洋亲如兄弟，他喜欢上郑红梅（沈傲君 饰），而红梅暗恋的却是乔海洋。叶晓帆对段军的骚忧防不胜防，为此海洋与他大打出手，但最终晓帆还是落入段军设下的圈套，被其强奸致孕，自杀时被招工回城的庄会生救下，闻讯后的乔海洋彻底绝望......。
