该剧根据芥川龙之介的《上海游记》改编。影片讲述100多年前，作为《大阪每日新闻》记者的芥川龙之介来到上海的所见所闻。。一名女子坐了三十年冤狱之后终于被证实清白，并且她得知将她送进监狱的是她三十年前的上流社会爱人，一场漫长的报仇开始了。。Set in 1989, Jake (Harmon), an out-of-work photojournalist who struggles with addiction and a troubled past, takes a job as watchman of a wilderness lodge on a remote island in the Pacific Northwest, alongside veteran handyman Sparky (Granger). Jake sets up a darkroom to develop the photos he shoots, which begin to reveal disturbing premonitions of their future.。
