六十四岁的老导演林念经被妻子陈惊质疑不懂爱情，赌气之下决定拍摄一部爱情片。他拉上自己合作多年的老编剧杜笃施一同上路采风，两位老人从香港回到广州，途中引发了许多啼笑皆非的事情。这段看似寻找爱情片灵感的旅程，实是由林念经的记忆碎片组成；当记忆逐渐拼凑完整，陈惊的样子也在二人面前逐渐清晰。。The first time Sarah tries drugs is the first time she goes out with Tim, who was a customer of hers in the Dew Drop Inn Cafe. Tom is sweet and cool and after one night, she moves in with him| leaving behind her alcoholic mother and younger sister, Karen. For a while life is great and drugs are just part of the deal and most of the fun. But then things start getting complicated...。
