故事发生在遥远的二零二零年，在同神秘生物“原肠动物”的战争中，人类首次尝到了彻底失败的滋味，土地被剥夺，权利被压榨，在冷酷的独裁统治之下，人类被迫过起了苟且偷生的压抑生活。然而，即便如此，坚强的人们仍然没有放弃反抗的机会，为了对抗强大的敌人，“天童民间警备公司”成立了。表面看来，里见莲太郎（梶裕贵配音）只是一介平凡的十六岁告众人，可实际上，他年纪轻轻就已经成为了“民警”中的一员，在搭档蓝原延珠（日高里菜配音）的帮助下，莲太郎决定要找到莫名死亡的父母的真正死因。一个绝密任务的出现将莲太郎带往了巨大谜团的中心，在危险和杀戮之中，他最终会得到怎样的真相？。Bilbo Baggins the Hobbit was just minding his own business, when his occasional visitor Gandalf the Wizard drops in one night.
