大美的贵州黔西南地区，带着养蜂技术反哺家乡的大学毕业生王晓石（刘智扬饰），和有着丰富基层扶贫经验的村长郑金柱（赵亮饰），在扶贫工作中成为一对老少搭档。实际工作中，王晓石因缺乏经验遭到郑金柱的奚落。王晓石意外与错失的女神郑玉娟重逢。虽然在村里推广养蜂计划屡屡碰壁，为了证明自己，王晓石主动接受了郑金柱提出的考验，帮助三位贫困钉子户脱贫致富。孤寡怪僻的荣奶奶、酗酒成性的刘老九、愚钝青年周二憨……三人各出难题，王晓石苦不堪言。然而养蜂扶贫计划，推进的并不那么顺利，闹剧百出、扶贫事业受阻……在春节来临前，王晓石立志要帮助大家解决困扰，同时更想得到未来岳父郑金柱的肯定……。Thomas and Thomas are going through a rough patch: they are both thirty-something actors living in Paris. They randomly decide to leave the city and fly away to Kullorsuaq, one of the most remote villages of Greenland, where Thomas' father Nathan lives.
