本剧由野岛伸司完全原创。饭丰万理江在本作品中饰演的是以某件事为契机，从18岁开始，与漫画家父亲丈治共同生活，过着10年家里蹲的无业游民黑目水。在她家里蹲了十年的时候，丈治的漫画被砍了。编辑给丈治提供了一份工作，要与畅销作家公文龙炎合作画爱情故事，而公文提出的条件只有一个：以水为主人公。。摄影师工藤太郎在坐飞机的途中发现一架太空囊坠入大海，那正是4个月前离奇失踪的无人木星探测器赫利俄斯7号。回国后的工藤接到陪同开发公司调查队前往塞吉欧岛的工作，而塞吉欧岛正位于赫利俄斯7号坠落地点的附近…… 另一方面，塞吉欧岛突然出现巨大的怪兽，这一切似乎和赫利俄斯7号有关……。Four intersecting tales shed light on the difficult lives of suburbanites.
