故事以五十年代中期的纽约皇后区为背景,意大利移民维提利三兄弟之中的大哥是个木匠,自幼受父亲的影响而力求完善,因不满老板盖房子时偷工减料,及集合兄弟之力共同创业,追求美国梦。可惜他个性刚愎自用,为了工作而牺牲了亲情。。An inept gang of bank robbers, led by George The Brain, are caught and sentenced to 15 years hard labour each. When they are released from prison they start out to collect the money they had stolen and which George had hidden in a hollow tree during the chase in which they were caught. The only trouble is that the tree was in the middle of a lonely lane when they were imprisone...。
