这是一所百年老校，市试范校之一。高三九班班主任“范义本”（方中信 饰）带领全班同学在高考冲刺的最后阶段中发生的一系列的故事。剧中以当代社会最为典型的真实题材为基础，集中体现了来自四个不同家庭发生种种的情况。真实反映社会普遍的几组家庭中的故事。以四名学生备战高考的紧张倒计时阶段作为主线。任雪（陆翊 饰）班长，被父亲逼迫到海外留学，和父亲（吴刚 饰）反目导致离家出走。林叶（乔乔 饰）任雪的闺蜜，因为父母离异导致对高考的放弃，贺帆（吴俊余 饰）学习委员。因为家里筹备大学的学费被奸商诈骗。父亲贺江海（大秦 饰）为保护儿子打伤人被拘留，导致生活压力的加大。秦鹏（谭杰希 饰）偏科大王。对阳光自信，喜欢搞一些恶作剧，由于作文跑题导致高考成绩面临危机。在这四位学面临放弃高考的边缘时，“范义本”老师独特的教育手段和同学自身的努力最终解决了来自家庭和自身的各种问题。 同时本片不乏正处于青春期情感萌芽的同学们之间的情感，以及青春期叛逆萌芽的同学们和老师之间的“矛盾”和“斗争”。充分写实当代各个家庭中的普遍的问题，同时也反映了可怜天下父母心和以及当今学生与家长之间存在的隔膜。也诠释了“范义本”老师的独特教育方式。。Sometimes, we're just waiting for a miracle.
