《木札岭》以洛阳西南山区农村生活为背景，讲述了豫西贫困山区的群众在党和政府的亲切关怀下，在交通扶贫干部的带领下，齐心协力，开山修路，共同建设社会主义新农村的故事。村民开山爷为了修一条通向山外的路，一辈子开山不止，终因条件所限不能如愿。退伍军人松根带领村民开山修路，终于修通了一条通往山外的大道……。The story takes us back to 1889, in the wake of primary school teacher Louise Violet who is sent to a village in the French countryside to enforce Republic schooling (which is free, compulsory and secular). It’s a mission which secures her unpopularity, among children and parents alike…。
