2004年，香港棒球队迎来新教练——从台湾请来的戴于程，一起为了亚洲杯的梦想努力。在香港几乎不被人所知的棒球队成员们和所有普通人一样，有着自己的生活和烦恼。极具天赋的主投手梁宇聪在生活里是一个修车仔，和女友总是不能维持长久的关系，后偶然认识一心想自杀的女孩kim（董敏莉饰），聪决定为她找一个活下去的理由。香子俊和母亲和姐姐住在一起，有着很多梦想，除了棒球，还组band，同时在香港理工大学求学，新女友梅子（林苑饰）是清华大学的交换生，他的烦恼包括了不能成为主力投手以及对梁宇聪产生的难以言喻的感情。而戴于程也在香港有了自己的新感情，和小饮店老板阿平度过了快乐的时光。 亚洲杯开始了，这群站在比赛场地上的小伙子，开始向梦想发起进攻。 本故事取材于香港棒球队成员提供的事迹，并由他们演回自己。。Two dysfunctional couples rent a modern luxury desert home for the weekend hoping to sort out their messed-up lives.
