A group of students who are participating in a university's summer science camp are drawn into an incredible quagmire of conflicts, ranging from the relatively simple conflict between an engaging and forthright young teacher and his older manipulative colleague, to a contest pitting political correctness against free scientific inquiry. Despite the murkiness of some of the issues in the latter conflict, the students pitch in enthusiastically on what they believe to be the side of righteousness, and passions rise to fever pitch. ~ Clarke Fountain, All Movie Guide。萧庆生重病，生命只剩最后几天。养女萧浅浅欲通知萧家三姐妹来见父亲最后一面，却发现她们参加了控诉父亲的节目，要揭露父亲对她们的控制、监视，以及他的懦弱无能。萧浅浅悲愤欲绝，亲上节目组要为父亲讨回公道。。香港富豪何老板来到深圳的地下拍卖行，买走一幅出土不久的名画。因害怕被警方查获，便安排一直有合作的顺风车司机贾山川押送画，自己则坐在另一辆车上跟随监控。不料，车子没开出多久，便被碰瓷人阻挡了去路，跟贾山川失去联系。其实这时，贾山川正被网恋了两个月，却从未见过面的"女友"小雅引到了婚礼现场。等二人再见面时，恍然发现，放在贾山川车上的画不翼而飞。贾山川成为第一怀疑对象，为自证清白，同时也为得到何老板开出的巨额寻画奖金，便与何老板一起踏上寻画路。与上级失去联系的小雅，无意中听到何老板承诺给贾山川巨额赏金一事，也动了心，于是主动提出加入。一辆车，三个各怀鬼胎的人，开启了一段奇幻的寻画之旅……。
