本片根据亚洲恐怖漫画《阴阳棺》改编，讲述了民国年间被世人俗称为的“阴阳棺”突然现世，相传这口神秘的棺材一旦出现就会有恐怖的事情发生。 据《民国时报》记载，民国34年（1945国民党统治时期），曾发生一起灵异的小孩失踪事件，一群在后山上玩捉迷藏的小孩突然有一个神秘失踪。从那以后，每当打雷时总会看到一个小孩的身影在后山破庙的屋顶上徘徊。为了不再让类似的事情发生，人们封锁了上山去的道路。多年以后，阿道从外地回来看望儿时伙伴，无意中提起当年在后山玩游戏时消失的小孩阿元，每个人都讲述了一段他们当年玩捉迷藏时遭遇的恐怖经历，最后大家不欢而散。从那以后，大家原本平静的生活被突然打断，仿佛消失的小孩回来了一样，当年玩捉迷藏的参与者也开始一个个离奇消失，究竟是消失的小孩“怨灵”回来复仇，还是传说中的“阴阳棺”在作怪？。该片讲述了一对住在纽约的夫妇经历婚姻危机的故事，麦卡沃伊饰演一家餐馆的老板，而查斯坦则饰演他的妻子，一位婚后重回大学读书的女人。影片最大的特点就是将有两个剧本，拍成两部影片，一部以丈夫的视角进行叙事，而另一部则以妻子的视角来叙事，均由内德·本森担任编剧和导演。。The epic adventures of the legendary Baran the Bandit following his release from prison. After serving 35 years, it is no surprise that the world has changed dramatically.
