The ...。人届中年的神代广平（福山雅治 饰）曾经是执迷于优美旋律的音乐人，但当初因为某个人的离去而不再登台表演。现如今他在企业中担任心理医师，生活中则与前乐队主唱的妹妹夏希（水野美纪 饰）。如同恋人，又如同知己。在某汽车修理厂，神代偶然结识了名叫佐野樱（藤原樱 饰）的女孩。樱其貌不扬，因口吃的毛病而封闭内心，鲜少与人交流，只有和从小一起长大的真美（夏帆 饰）、空一（菅田将晖 饰）在一起才可以坦然敞开心扉。为了帮助樱适应社会，神代和夏希尝试让女孩以歌唱的方式表达内心。 樱的歌声直抵心底，她对神代充满了信任和仰慕，而神代似乎也从她的身上看到另一位女孩的影子……。
