An inept gang of bank robbers, led by George The Brain, are caught and sentenced to 15 years hard labour each. When they are released from prison they start out to collect the money they had stolen and which George had hidden in a hollow tree during the chase in which they were caught. The only trouble is that the tree was in the middle of a lonely lane when they were imprisone...。1980年代，应届毕业生闻清（李萍 饰）在家积极复习，准备迎接次年的高考。弟弟闻涛（王保社 饰）的朋友林旷（叶晖 饰），人称“数学王子”，在串门补习中，俩人逐渐产生好感，并相互憧憬着将来的大学生活。不久，闻清如愿考进大学校园，林旷却背弃前诺，报名参军去了云南前线。这突然的变故让闻清不知所措，考虑再三，她结束了与林旷的恋爱关系。后来，传来了林旷在边境排雷触雷身亡的噩耗。一晃几年过去了，毕业的闻清有了舒适的工作和家庭。在一次偶然机会，她碰到林旷生前的战友，从其口中得知林旷英雄事迹，悔恨之情溢满心头......。
