天宫中的月老专门负责用红线将时间的痴男怨女连在一起，令有情人终成眷属。这不，又一对男女丁长胜和林丽菁在月老的红绳下终于顺利办成了结婚手续。月老宫中的红娘（宣萱 饰）对月老的撮合颇多不满，一日﹐她趁月老离宫外出时，想偷看姻缘本，恰恰这时邓如珠（梅小惠 饰）和康子新（郭蔼明 饰）同时在姻缘石前用朱古力求姻缘，在朱古力的诱惑下红娘帮如珠实现了心愿，将她和帅气型男丁长安（温兆伦 饰）用红线牵在了一起。长安一直都因样貌出众，在众人面前曾起誓非港姐不娶，如今因红娘的红线，和如珠走到了一起，令众人大跌眼镜，并且他们两很快就准备结婚了。这时月老回来了，他得知红娘乱牵红线后，命令红娘马上下凡解决这段错误的姻缘。于是，红娘开始了她的凡间之旅。。The subtitle of Jean-Marie Straub and Danièle Huillet’s first feature, from 1965, “Only Violence Helps Where Violence Reigns,” suggests the fierce political program evoked by their rigorous aesthetic. The pretext of the film, set in Cologne, is Heinrich Böll’s novel “Billiards at Half Past Nine,” which they strip down to a handful of stark events and film with a confrontational angularity akin to Bartók’s music that adorns the soundtrack. The subtlest of cues accompany the story’s complex flashbacks. The middle-aged Robert Fähmel tells a young hotel bellhop of persecutions under the Third Reich| his elderly father, Heinrich, an architect famed for a local abbey, recalls the militarism of the First World War, when his wife, Johanna, incurred trouble for insulting the Kaiser. A third-generation Fähmel is considering architecture, just as the exiled brother of Robert’s late wife, returns, only to be met by their former torturer, now a West German official taking part in a celebratory parade of war veterans. Straub and Huillet make the layers of history live in the present tense, which they judge severely.
