The film was closely based on the historical record, and all of the major incidents portrayed were drawn from contemporary accounts by those who took part. Filming took place on the Falkland Islands and at Ealing Studios. Urban is a fluent Spanish-speaker, and plays an uncredited role as the Argentine radio operator.。1998年，秀贞的父母带着各自的两个孩子成婚，父亲的大儿子秀教（尹相铉饰）是温文尔雅的伦理教师，二儿子秀根是梦想成为警察的学生；母亲的大儿子东秀（宋诗曦饰）是虚张声势的纹身师，二女儿贤贞则是想成为艺人的不良学生。两个家庭组成了一个全新的大家庭，但因为秀贞父母的儿女们性格不合，所以早早的各自生活，甚少团聚。十几年后，已经是中学生的秀贞与母亲商议，用父母生病为借口骗哥哥姐姐们回家庆祝父母的结婚纪念日。在儿女们赶回家的同时，父母意外失踪，于是五兄弟按照双亲留下的线索努力搜索，却意外的揭开了德水里当地的恶性案件之谜……。
